Our Trustees

Sadru Kheraj
Trustee
Sadru is a GP partner at the Herne Hill Group Practice in London. He has been a Medical Adviser to a Health Authority and a London Strategic Health Authority. He has also worked as a PCT Medical Director. He has been an adviser for the National Clinical Assessment Service and also an Associate Member of the General Medical Council.

Simon Chapman
Trustee
Simon is a Consultant in Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Kings College Hospital, London, specialising in eating disorders, diabetes and endocrinology. He is also national lead for a standard setting group in adolescent eating disorders, and founding trustee of the British Eating Disorders Society. He publishes widely and teaches nationally and internationally. He is particularly interested in coding and practical simple technology ideas that change and improve lives.

John Poyton OBE
Trustee
John is an experienced social entrepreneur and charity chief executive with a passion for scaling innovation and social impact. He founded the youth work charity Redthread, which was the UK’s first hospital-based violence Intervention Programme for young people, and he co-founded the Well Centre primary care model with Dr Lamb, focussing on preventing and reducing adolescent health inequality.
Our Team

John Poyton OBE
CEO
John is one of the original joint founders of the Well Centre, as well as founder and ex-CEO of the award-winning charity Redthread. He began his career as a youth work practitioner and is a key innovator and entrepreneur in the field of development of new services to young people at risk of violence.

Dr Stephanie Lamb
Clinical Lead
Steph is a GP partner at the Herne Hill Group Practice in Lambeth, and a recognised expert on adolescent primary care. Co-founder of the Well Centre, Steph is currently chair of the Royal College of GP’s Adolescent Health Group, Steph has a longstanding special interest in developing accessible, young people friendly services in primary care and developing targeted services to more vulnerable groups of young people.

Dr Henry Butler
GP consultant
As a GP at the Well Centre, Dr Butler leads outreach work particularly to youth justice services and youth work settings and provides the Well Centre Charity with GP consultancy. He works closely with the practice managers to develop the data collection systems and to produce outputs summarising the work of the centre.

Dr Ann Hagell
Evidence and Impact Consultant
Ann advises the Well Centre Charity on evidence and impact. An independent consultant in youth health, Ann’s professional expertise in research and evidence in this field spans more than 30 years, bridging academia, policy and practice. She is also an Honorary Associate Professor in the Medical School at the University of Exeter.

Jaudan Izzo
Project Manager
Jaudan is the Well Centre Charity’s Project Manager.

Michele Izzo
Operations Manager
Michele runs operations for the Charity. She is an experienced business manager and director, committed to the sustainability of primary care.
